As a reflective individual, I often look back on my successes and failures. While looking back on failures could bring me to a darker mindset, they actually help me to become a more proactive individual, especially with past successes in mind. I know that it can't hurt to try again if something doesn't go well, as you have to learn before you act. I am willing to look back on my mistakes for my own future growth. Without doing this, I would be close-minded. It can be truly difficult to think about your past mistakes, especially if you don't have a positive mindset. When I had been experiencing academic hardships last year, I decided to reflect on my attitude and my work ethic. I had been very negative towards myself, which caused me to struggle to keep up my grades. I decided that I needed a growth mindset in order to do better, and I was correct. I finished the school year better than I had started second semester, as I reflected on my wrongdoings.
